Power-Flex Features Up Close:
The joystick is ergonomically positioned low allowing access under desk, tables, and sinks. The quick release drop down feature makes transfers in/out of the chair a breeze.
Joystick Control
In addition to the pressure relief, the 30-degree tilt facilitates the ability to lift the front caster wheels over obstacles, curbs, and doorways – including tricky thresholds from jetways to aircrafts when traveling by air.

No, The batteries are lead acid non-spillable batteries and can travel on most airlines without disconnecting or removing the batteries unlike many Lithium based battery systems. In addition, the compact size allows for easy transport and storage under the plane without tipping or major disassembly like many full-time power chairs.

The system was designed and tested for 275 pounds maximum occupant capacity plus the wheelchair. This matches or exceeds most rigid frame ultralight manual wheelchairs on the market.

The base weighs 115lbs which provides superior stability to the system especially on side slopes and turning. Compared to a full-time power chair @ 300-400lbs, the Power-Flex is lightweight and compact. It is a 2-person lift into a vehicle or the use of vehicle ramps is recommended. If you have an existing lift or ramp system for your manual chair, the Power-Flex should integrate seamlessly.
