By designing products that resonated with people in wheelchairs, the company grew globally via grit and innovation. FAQs

  • The Power-Flex may also be covered by your private insurance, Medicare and/or Medicaid depending on your funding pathway. Common configured systems with suspension, tilt, and joystick have an MSRP of $13,175. Cash Pay from online retailers is $9,880.

  • Yes. Supports reimbursement through Private Insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, VA, and DME dealer pathways.

  • The base system is coded E0986 (power assist system) + K0108 (for the manual tilt system) + K0108 (for suspension) along with E1032 (swing away joystick).

  • User-activated manual tilt with 30+ degrees for pressure relief, position changes, and lifting front casters over thresholds and obstacles.

  • Effective pressure relief requires more than 20 degrees tilt with 1–2 minutes of offloading every 30 minutes. Power-Flex exceeds that threshold.

  • Isolates frame vibration, provides Group 3 style drive wheel suspension, reduces jolting forces, fatigue, low back strain, and skin shear.

  • Yes. The Compact footprint plus tilt helps with jetways, thresholds, curbs, and uneven terrain without needing a large power chair.  It's compact size allows storage in plane cargo holds without tipping and travels easily in a wide variety of vehicles.

  • Yes - The Power-Flex doesn't change your ride height in any way allowing you the same access as your manual chair and the wired joystick sits purposely low below your legs to ensure easy access.

  • The base has a 24x24 footprint, 5 mph top speed, 12-mile range, 115 lbs, two 35 ah U1 batteries, fits 12–20 inch wide manual chair seat frames.

  • Up to 12 miles per charge depending on terrain, user weight, speed, and usage patterns.

  • No, The batteries are lead acid non-spillable batteries and can travel on most airlines without disconnecting or removing the batteries unlike many Lithium based battery systems.  In addition, the compact size allows for easy transport and storage under the plane without tipping or major disassembly like many full-time power chairs.

  • The system was designed and tested for 275 pounds maximum occupant capacity plus the wheelchair.  This matches or exceeds most rigid frame ultralight manual wheelchairs on the market.

  • The base weighs 115lbs which provides superior stability to the system especially on side slopes and turning. Compared to a full-time power chair @ 300-400lbs, the Power-Flex is lightweight and compact. It is a 2-person lift into a vehicle or the use of vehicle ramps is recommended. If you have an existing lift or ramp system for your manual chair, the Power-Flex should integrate seamlessly.
